In the wee morning hours of November 23, 2013, 18 year old Lukas Strasser-Hird was getting ready to call it a night after spending time with his friends at a Calgary, Alberta, Canada nightclub after returning home from a year spent in Bolivia. He had a small run-in with a guy outside of this club, Assmar Shlah. This seemingly small tiff would turn into multiple mob attacks against Lukas that would ultimately claim his life. 5 young men were ultimately charged with his death, 4 of them were convicted of various charges, and 1 of them is currently wanted and at large today.
