In November of 2016, wife and mother Sherri Papini was reported missing by her husband. For 22 days her family, friends, and law enforcement looked for her. Thanksgiving Day she was finally located about 150 miles south of her home and place of disappearance. She told authorities that she had been kidnapped, tortured, and held captive by two Hispanic women. A few years later, authorities were finally able to get a familial DNA match on DNA that had been found on her clothing. An arrest was made in this case March 3, 2022.
