The evening of June 13, 2009 was the last time anyone saw Phyllis Phares alive at her Charelston, West Virginia home. When her daughter couldn't get a hold of the 82 year old widow, she went to check on her and found a gruesome crime scene. The Mallo family, who lived directly across the street, became suspects in the ensuing murder investigation after Thomas Mallo, the 14 year old son, told police about a man he had seen on the porch of Mrs. Phares the night she was killed. It wouldn't be long before nearly every member of the 8 person household would be behind bars for one reason or another.
